Firewall Engineer

Key Responsibilities Manage and support enterprise firewall infrastructure Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewall policies and rules Monitor network security and respond to incidents Participate in on-call rotation and incident response Support scheduled maintenance and upgrade activities Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for security and network incidents Ensure compliance with security standards and operational procedures Collaborate with network and security teams for issue resolution Required Skills Strong experience in firewall administration and network security Hands-on experience with enterprise firewall technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco ASA – or similar) Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols Experience in incident management and production support environments Ability to troubleshoot complex network/security issues Experience working in high-availability enterprise environments Preferred Skills Experience in large-scale enterprise network environments Exposure to change management and ITIL processes Experience in maintenance windows and production cutover activities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication and coordination skills for on-call operations
