Modern US employers increasingly look for analysts who can bridge business needs with data-driven decision-making using SQL, BI tools, and clear requirements documentation.ResponsibilitiesGather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements (BRD, FRD, User Stories).Work closely with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into data requirements.Analyze large datasets using SQL to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and business opportunities.Develop dashboards, KPIs, and executive reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.Create data models, process flows, workflow diagrams, and business process documentation.Perform data validation, data profiling, and root cause analysis to ensure data quality.Conduct Gap Analysis and recommend process improvements.Support Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.Collaborate with Data Engineers and ETL developers to define source-to-target mappings.Define business rules, KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements.Assist QA teams by creating test scenarios, UAT test cases, and validating business requirements.Monitor business performance through dashboards and identify opportunities for optimization.Present analytical findings and recommendations to business leadership.Support data governance initiatives and ensure compliance with organizational policies.Work cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Engineering teams.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics or Applied Mathematics or equivalent experience3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Data Business Analyst.Strong experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
