This role operates at the intersection of business stakeholders, engineering teams, and quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on translating business needs into technically precise, developer-ready user stories.The ideal candidate is highly comfortable working with API specifications, understands backend service interactions, and can clearly define API behavior through well-structured requirements and acceptance criteria that enable efficient build, testing, and integration.Key Responsibilities:Requirements & User Story DevelopmentElicit, analyze, and document both business and technical requirements for a REST API–based platformAuthor detailed technical user stories that clearly define:API behaviorInputs and outputsEdge cases and dependenciesDevelop comprehensive acceptance criteria that support API development, testing, and downstream integrationDecompose complex workflows into well-structured, sprint-ready stories aligned with agile planningAPI-Focused AnalysisCollaborate closely with architects and developers to understand API contracts, schemas, and data modelsTranslate API requirements into actionable user stories referencing:Endpoints and HTTP methodsRequest and response payload structuresError handling and validation rulesReview and interpret API specifications (e.g., OpenAPI/Swagger) to ensure alignment with business intent and functional expectationsSupport integration and QA efforts by clarifying technical requirements and expected system behaviorsRequired Experience:5+ years of experience writing technical requirements and user storiesStrong hands-on experience with API-focused analysis and documentationDemonstrated ability to bridge business requirements with backend system designRequired Tools & Technologies:JiraConfluenceMicrosoft Office SuitePreferred Tools & Technologies:OpenAPI / SwaggerNo C2C or 3rd party candidates.
