Senior IOS/Android Software Engineer

Grid is seeking a Senior Android Software Engineer to join our product-focused team and help scale our core Android app. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and business leaders to create magical experiences and leverage multiple datasets to drive clear objectives. This role offers a meaningful impact on Grid's progress and user happiness through pragmatic problem solving and cross-functional collaboration. What youll do Design, implement, and maintain the Grid Android app Assist and build platform Pragmatically solve problems Contribute to product design and direction Effectively communicate and work with other teams What Grid is looking for 2+ years of experience in mobile engineering Strong Kotlin expertise for Android development with Jetpack Compose and modern app architecture (MVVM/Clean Architecture) Experience with backend data formats and APIs common in mobile apps, including protobufs, REST, and gRPC Has built apps before on mobile Experience integrating Firebase services in mobile apps (Authentication, Firestore/Realtime Database, Cloud Messaging) Has direct consumer experience (Developed stuff for consumers and not just B2B only) Clear ability to collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders; strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Mentorship or technical leadership experience to guide junior engineers on the Android team Proficiency with Android testing strategies (unit, instrumentation/UI tests) and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps J-18808-Ljbffr
