Speaker, you will be immersed in all of the action, working alongside our experienced mechanical designers. Your tasks will include designing and assembling fixtures, updating drawings and documentation, creating 3D models from existing 2D CAD, attending pilot builds, and more. Our ideal candidate will work part‐time hours (10‐15 hrs/week) during the school year and transition to full‐time hours in the summer.QualificationsMust be working towards a mechanical design degree at an accredited technical college or universityAll school years are encouraged to apply!PreferredSome college or better in Design and Mechanical Systems or a related field.Hiring ProcessApply online by May 1, 2026. The internship hiring process consists of two interviews: typically the first interview is conducted at your college or university campus or over the phone. The second interview is at J.W. Speaker's Whitney facility in Germantown, WI. All candidates will be notified of hiring decisions via e‐mail or phone and will receive a formal offer letter around May 2026.
