The HM183 Tank Inspector is primarily responsible to perform visual, internal, pressure and leak tests on truck mounted tanks. As well as being responsible for tank testing on Hazardous Material certified tanks such as vac trucks, hydro excavators, oil tankers, guzzlers, tanker trailers, cargo tanks, and more. \nWhy work for Clean Harbors?\n\nHealth and Safety is our #1 priority, and we live it 3-6-5!\nCompetitive wages; $34-$40 an hour based on experience \nPay is based on experience\nComprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment\nGroup 401K/RRSP with company matching component.\nOpportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career\nGenerous paid time off!\nCompany paid training!\nTuition reimbursement!\nCompany provided uniforms and PPE!\nState of the art facilities, technology, and tooling\n\nAccess to company paid OEM certifications and trainings!\n              Ask a recruiter today for more information!RESPONSIBILITIES\nEnsuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;\nPerform VIPK inspections [visual, internal, pressure, leakage];\nTimely and accurate completion of all required paperwork;\nAssist with other repairs and preventative maintenance in shop as required;\nOrder parts and maintain inventory as required;\nPerform necessary tank test on units, and ensure they comply with all government and company standards and regulations;\nPerform repairs to tanks within the inspectors' qualifications;\nApply proper decaling to tanks;\nMaintain all tools and test equipment;\nAssist with finding qualified repair shops when necessary.\nQUALIFICATIONSWhat does it take to work for Clean Harbors? \n \n\n3+ years' experience as a tank inspector (VIPK inspections) required;\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nHM-183 Register Inspector (Tank Inspector) Certificate is strongly preferred;\n1+ years diesel mechanic experience with heavy-duty trucks and/or equipment required;\nMust have own set of basic tools, up to ½" (specialty inspector tools will be provided);\nStrong computer skills required;\nValid Driver's License is required;\nExperience operating heavy equipment is an asset.\n\n \n40-years of sustainability in action. At Clean Harbors, our mission is to create a safer, cleaner environment through the treatment, recycling, and disposal of hazardous materials.
