(SA&E)Essential FunctionsResponsible for writing and providing technical documentation for solutions.Ability to administer firewalls, virtual private networks (VPNs), and other security tools (Hand on experience with Palo Alto NG Firewalls and Checkpoint GAIA)Ability to perform upgrades on Palo Alto Firewalls and experience with Palo Alto Expedition for firewall migrationsProvide steady state support for business divisions using Service Now platform for ticketing systemReview Security Risk VariancesReview and Process Firewall Access RequestsEnsure proper renewals of TLS Certificates in the environmentRapid Response for declared Security IncidentsEngage with the business for P1 and P2 IncidentsDisplay a working knowledge of advanced networking trouble-shooting skillsAbility to clearly articulate Network Security scheduled changes to Change Management Board.Peer review proposed changes as a part of the Network Security Engineering team.Display strong communication skills with internal and external customers.Participate in On Call Rotation with Network Security Engineering team for 24x7 Support.Additional ResponsibilitiesPerform tasks on project related work within Azure DevOps.Be accountable for deliverables on projects with timelines.Performs other duties as assigned.Skills And AbilitiesAnalytical skills for thoroughly examining computer systems and networks and for identifying vulnerabilities.Knowledge of cyber laws and complianceResourcefulness or ingenuity for anticipating security risks and implementing new ways to neutralize themProblem-solving skills for quickly uncovering and fixing network flawsKnowledge of current information security trendsInfrastructure documentation and event reporting capabilitiesStrong written and oral communication skills with a keen ability to explain complex technical and security concepts to non-technical business stakeholders and management.Excellent time management and organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.An understanding of business needs and commitment to delivering high-quality, prompt, and efficient service to the businessAn understanding of organizational mission, values, and goals and consistent application of this knowledge (preferred)Solid coding and scripting required Java, C, C++, Python, Powershell intermediate required.Security technologies including encryption, data protection, access privileges intermediate required.Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux systems intermediate preferredStrong knowledge of common vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques beginner preferredPractical experience with database security, content filtering, vulnerability scanning, and anti-malware intermediate requiredQualificationsBachelor's degree required Computer Science, Information Security, or related field and/or equivalent work experienceVocational or Technical Certification preferred Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)Five (5) years to Seven (7) years or more Experience working directly in Information Security, Identity & Access Management, especially in an engineering role. requiredFive (5) years to Seven (7) years or more Experience working with Okta or SailPoint preferredFive (5) years to Seven (7) years or more Programming or scripting - Python, Java, C/C++ preferredSolid coding and scripting required.
