Job DescriptionDescription\nThe Decision Advantage - Defense Business Area at Leidos has an opening for an experienced Operating Systems Test Engineer. In this mission we support the Department of the Air Force (DAF) to field and operate the customer's Digital Infrastructure.\n\nThe work location for this position is our office in Orlando, FL and does require daily on-site support at this location.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities:\n\nThe Test team within the Digital Infrastructure Network Integration Lab (DI-NIL) will be responsible for maintaining the DI-NIL architecture and services. There are levels of support needed throughout to include RHEL, Windows, and other systems and appliances to include structure and compliance configurations, integration with Active Directory for authentication, as well as day-to-day management and review of the architecture.\nAll systems destined for operation on the production network will pass through the DI-NIL for V&V testing from the build through configuration to service delivery.  This position will work with the team to ensure all operating systems meet the strict compliance required by DoD guidance as well as ensuring all system capabilities are configured for optimum performance for the underlying operating system.  This will include patching and version upgrade testing and deployment within the supported environments.\nFull documentation of builds and configurations utilized within the environment are mandatory as well as process flow documentation to ensure all required tasks are documented and repeatable.\nThe DI-NIL support effort will also include working with customers to ensure needed operating systems are configured properly and access has been configured to allow a least privilege concept during stakeholder activities within the environment.\nAdditional duties will include backing up other personnel in support of the DI-NIL effort which is focused on Verification and Validation for the Digital Infrastructure Network.\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\nUS citizen with at least a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.\nBachelor’s degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or master’s degree with 2+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\nDemonstrable knowledge of operating systems concepts and applying these concepts to Department of Defense programs.\nDemonstrable experience in design review participation and providing customer centric input.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, and other systems engineers in the development of complex DoD systems.\nDemonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities.\nAbility to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.\nBasic understanding of networking systems and interconnections.\nUnderstanding of government systems security testing (ACAS/Nessus) and remediation – ability to discuss security issues and concerns.\nDemonstrated ability to brief technical and non-technical customers.\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nUS Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to maintain that clearance during your employment with Leidos.\nPrior experience working on ABMS or JADC2 initiatives\nMid-level network understanding.\n4 years of DoD-based system security testing (ACAS/Nessus) and remediation with the ability to discuss security issues and concerns.\nPrior experience designing and deploying networks.\nPrior experience with SAFe Agile implementation.\nDemonstrated experience with Agile program execution and using agile tools (e.g. Jira and Confluence).\nPrior experience support Department of the Air Force programs.\nPrevious experience working on complex multi-domain systems.\nExperience with design and validation of Cloud and Edge Computing and Network.\nDemonstrable knowledge of test automation and test result analysis.\nDemonstrable experience in network topologies to validate functionality, performance, stability and scalability of features and products.\nProven expertise in creating test methodologies and writing test specifications.\nExperience in Integration, test, verification, and validation.\nAbility to achieve a high degree of customer satisfaction and maintain Leidos positive brand recognition.\n\n\nDABAOPP1\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
