The Senior Database Administrator will design, implement, and maintain all databases relating to SecureCom Wireless, LLC and to manage these systems and databases to ensure a reliable, secure and cost-effective Information Technology infrastructure and operation. The Database Administrator will work with application developers to ensure proper design and functionality of SecureCom databases and applications as well as automate processes using scripts, custom routines, and functions. Preference will be given to candidates willing to relocate to Springfield, MO. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or comparable experience. (10+ years) of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field. Experience supporting multiple servers and multiple databases of medium to high complexity (complexity defined by database size, technology, transaction velocity and volume, system feeds and interfaces) with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity and accessibility of the data. Experience with database design, and subsequent implementations and support for high performance, highly available (24x7) and scalable database application systems. Serve as a technical lead and SME related to mainframe and DB2-related topics. Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools. Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards. Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling. Familiarity with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS. Impeccable attention to detail. Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments. Responsibilities: Install and maintain the performance of database servers and databases. Manage database security and access. Set and maintain database standards. Provide database design and specifications to engineers. Performance tuning of database systems. Install, upgrade, and manage database applications. Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors. Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
