Ophthalmic Technician - Oakland NJMulti-Specialty Eye Care PracticeA well-established eye care practice is looking to add an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to its clinical team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in patient care, enjoys a collaborative environment, and is comfortable supporting both clinical and procedural workflows.What You’ll DoSupport physicians by collecting patient histories and assisting with clinical evaluationsPerform pre-testing and diagnostic assessments, including visual acuity and related eye examsOperate ophthalmic diagnostic equipment such as OCT, visual field testing, and imaging toolsAssist providers during in-office procedures, including lasers and minor surgical servicesAdminister ophthalmic drops in accordance with certification requirementsHelp maintain an efficient clinic flow across exam and imaging areasComplete clinical documentation and assist with administrative duties as neededWhat We’re Looking ForPrior experience working as an Ophthalmic Technician in a clinical settingStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks throughout the dayClear communication skills and a patient-first mindsetComfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based environmentFamiliarity with medical office workflows and basic administrative supportEMR experienceHigh school diploma or equivalentKey CompetenciesDependable and professional work ethicStrong customer service and interpersonal skillsAbility to work well with physicians, staff, and patientsBasic computer skills, including documentation and data entryJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ridgewood, NJ.Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $34.00/hr.RequirementsEligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
