Product Manager
Product SF Bay Area or Remote full-time $150,000 – $200,000 + equity
About the Role:
CodeConductor is the platform that lets every team — not just engineering — build real software. We're profitable, bootstrapped, and growing fast, and we're hiring our first dedicated Product Manager to help us decide what to build next, who we're building it for, and how to know if it worked.
You'll work directly with the founders, engineering, design, and customers. You'll own discovery, prioritization, and the messy work of turning customer pain into shipped features that move metrics. This is a high-trust, high-ownership role at a company small enough that your decisions show up in next week's release notes.
What you'll do:
Talk to customers constantly — discovery calls, usage data, support tickets, sales handoffs — and turn that into a clear point of view on what to build
Own the roadmap for one or more product surfaces (App Studio, Copilot Studio, Governance, or Data Fabric)
Write crisp product specs that engineers actually want to read
Partner with engineering to scope, ship, and measure
Define success metrics for every launch and report honestly on whether we hit them
Work with marketing on positioning, launches, and customer-facing content
Help shape our pricing and packaging as we move upmarket
You're a good fit if youHave shipped B2B SaaS products that real customers pay for
Are bias-to-action and comfortable making decisions without complete information
Can write clearly enough that engineers don't need to ask follow-up questions
Get energy from talking to customers, not from running roadmap meetings
Understand that a profitable, bootstrapped company is a different game than VC-backed growth-at-all-costs
Requirements:
4+ years of product management experience, ideally at a B2B SaaS or developer platform
Track record of shipping features that moved a real metric (activation, retention, expansion, conversion)
Strong written communication — product specs, launch announcements, customer-facing docs
Comfort with data: SQL or analytics tools to answer your own questions
Experience working closely with engineering on technical products
Nice to haveBackground in developer tools, low-code/no-code, or AI products
Have worked at a small, profitable company before — and know how it differs from a Series B rocket ship
Competitive salary and meaningful equity in a profitable, bootstrapped company
Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
Flexible PTO and a culture that respects it
Direct line to founders and customers — no PM-of-PMs layer between you and the work
Remote-friendly with optional time at our SF Bay Area HQ
The rare chance to be the first PM at a profitable, fast-growing platform company
