PORT MADISON ENTERPRISESSUQUAMISH CLEARWATER CASINO RESORTF&B- Cook I General Position SummaryResponsible for assisting chef(s) and cooks in preparation of salad, main dishes, snack trays and other foods.Essential Functions/Major ResponsibilitiesGood personal communications skillsEnsures temperatures of all foods, salads and soups are properly maintained.Keeps clean, sanitary and organized work areas and kitchen equipment.Excellent customer relations skills.Secondary FunctionsAssists other employees when needed.Other tasks deemed necessary by supervisor.Completes cash transactions when cook or cashier are not available.Specific Job SkillsGood verbal and written skillsAbility to handle difficult and/or stressful situations.Ability to follow instructions, Knowledge of health standards and proper cooking and food storage temperaturesAble to solve problems quicklyKnowledge in use of kitchen equipmentDesire to learn new tasks and assume new tasks.QualificationsEducation and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED preferred.Job ConditionsWorking conditions include working with and around kitchen equipment sometimes under crowded, sometimes stressful, conditions, frequent interruptions.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods of time. Able to lift 40 lbs.
