Job TitleDiesel & Heavy Equipment MechanicLocation: Allegany, NYPay: $23.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience)Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–FridayOvertime: AvailableJob DescriptionI&S Inc. of NY is seeking an experienced Diesel & Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair heavy trucks and hydraulic-powered equipment at our Allegany, NY shop.This position is best suited for a mechanic who is comfortable working on large diesel trucks, construction equipment, and hydraulic systems. Most work is performed in our shop, with occasional field service when equipment needs on-site repair.We offer steady, year-round work, overtime opportunities, and a stable Monday–Friday schedule.What You'll Work OnOur mechanics service a wide range of heavy equipment including:Class 7–8 diesel trucks and trailersDrilling rigs and oilfield equipmentTelehandlers and hydraulic machineryMud pumps and power swivel unitsHeavy-duty trailers and support equipmentResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, and mechanical systemsTroubleshoot and repair hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, and hosesPerform preventative maintenance and major component repairsInterpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematicsPerform welding and light fabrication when neededMaintain accurate service records and follow safety proceduresWhat We're Looking For3+ years experience as a diesel, heavy truck, or heavy equipment mechanicStrong hydraulic troubleshooting skillsAbility to diagnose and repair equipment independentlyExperience working on large trucks or heavy industrial equipmentValid driver's licensePhysical RequirementsThis position requires lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and working around large equipment in shop and outdoor environments.BenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with company matchPaid Time Off and Sick Leave$1,000 Uniform Allowance after 60 daysI&S Inc. of NY provides stable, full-time employment and a team-focused shop environment.I&S Inc. of NY is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with ADA regulations as applicable.
