PurposeThe Store Manager is responsible for creating an excellent shopping experience for all customers, driving sales growth & profitability, and establishing an engaging work environment for all team members. The Store Manager leads an assigned retail store ensuring and maintaining store operational standards, key performance metrics and targets set forth by the company. The Store Manager provides leadership to the full store team resulting in excellent daily store conditions, positive work environment in a manner that maximizes sales & profitability and provides an excellent, unique, and satisfying shopping experience for customers and employees. The Store Manager is directly responsible for recruitment, selection, training, motivation, coaching and developing their store team members to ensure we retain the best store teams and deliver best in class store operations. The Store Manager ensures all store team members comply with all company policies and procedures, along with all City, State and Federal requirements.ResponsibilitiesProvides leadership, coaching and development to their store team members regarding their tasks, duties, role requirements and performance standardsCreates a positive, safe, and clean store environment for team members and customers where they enjoy working and shoppingRecruits talented, highly motivated, committed team members with positive attitudes who possess the skills and behaviors to successfully complete the role requirements using the established process, tools and resources set out by the company.Trains, develops, mentors, and coaches all team members to success within their roles today and into the future by upskilling them using best practice tools and techniquesTakes genuine interest in the growth, development, and success of all team members through rigorous; job screening, feedback, teaching, mentoring, and progressive disciplinary actions as required to ensure performance standards are metConsistently and effectively communicates across all stakeholders, including but not limited to store team members, District Managers, Regional Directors, and other field team membersEnsures the store operates according to the operational standards set forth by the company that maximizes sales, profits and a world class shopping experience for our customersProvides leadership that results in excellent daily store conditions to include, but not limited to, required daily produce/meat/center store department operations that fully adhere to company’s operational standards and programsMaintains a clean, safe and secure work environment by owning the daily execution of Food Safety, Health & Safety and Compliance policies and practices in line with Company, Federal, State or City requirementsResponsible for key metrics of store operations, including sales, customer counts, margins, labor productivity, shrink and EBITDA metrics Analyzes, understands, and utilizes operational/financial data to make appropriate and well thought out business decisionsResponsible for merchandising program execution, all plan-o-grams, displays, price signs/tags and COOL signageMaintains a high standard of operation for customers which includes a full, fresh, clean and friendly place to shop on a consistent basisManages inventory levels to the specific metrics of the store and ensures quality, freshness, and effective rotation practices meet the company’s high standardsResponsible for excellent fresh product offering and management, including in-stock positions, conditions, and shrink exposures Responsible for both the implementation and compliance with all company policies and procedures; this includes, but is not limited to; Accounting procedures and practices, Cash Handling, Inventory Processes, Loss Prevention, Payroll Administration, Sanitation, Food Safety, Best Methods, documentation, policy violations, administrative paperwork, and initiating effective communication with the support team as neededAcquires Food Safety Certification in accordance with company policies and City/State requirementsProtects company property, funds and merchandiseDeals with DSD vendors and holding them accountable to our vendor policiesSupports competitive environment researchStrives to assist company in becoming a Great Place to Work by acting as a trusted leader within the organization, who follows up on commitments, always takes responsibility and acts with the team member and customer in mindWorks within, lives and acts as an ambassador of the company Values statementPerforms other duties as assignedAbout YouMust be 18 years of ageHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredBasic computer proficiencyMinimum of three to five (3-5) years of management experienceManagement/Leadership experience supervising others along with previous experience in scheduling, merchandising; budgeting and expense control preferredLeadership and/or Management Training preferredEffective oral and written communicationsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to effectively manage multiple competing priorities and tasksAbility to effectively complete administrative paperwork in a timely mannerProficient in planning and analytical skills (comprehension of P&L, budget and expense)Strong time management, planning & organizational skillsPhysical RequirementsRequires the ability to reach, bend, balance, lift and transport various objects weighing up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift;
