Safety Coordinator
As the Safety Coordinator at Nova Lines, you will support the Safety Director in maintaining and enforcing safety protocols across our operations. Your role will be pivotal in organizing safety programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing essential training to staff. You will also assist in accident investigations, audits, and developing safety initiatives that promote a secure work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in implementing and maintaining safety policies and programs
Support the investigation of accidents and near-misses, compiling reports and suggestions for future prevention
Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulations
Help organize and facilitate safety training for all departments
Keep track of safety records and documentation, ensuring accurate reporting
Work closely with the Safety Director to develop and improve safety protocols
Other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
1-3 years of experience in safety coordination or a related role, ideally in logistics or transportation
Knowledge of federal and state safety regulations, including OSHA and DOT
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software
Certification in Occupational Safety is a plus
