Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)Compensation$95,000 – $115,000 Base Salary + Shift Differentials, Overtime, and Full BenefitsLocation: Alexander, NDPosition OverviewA growing healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, high-quality care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum process. This individual will play a critical role in supporting patients and families during childbirth while collaborating closely with physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary care teams.The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced, high-acuity environments. Candidates should be comfortable managing multiple patient care responsibilities while delivering exceptional patient-centered care during emotionally significant and medically complex situations.This opportunity offers strong long-term stability, competitive compensation, and the ability to work within a collaborative and patient-focused healthcare environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Clinical ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum stagesMonitor maternal and fetal health status during labor and deliveryAdminister medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribedAssist physicians and providers during labor, delivery procedures, and emergency interventionsAssess patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in maternal or fetal statusEducate patients and families regarding labor expectations, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn careSupport patients emotionally during childbirth and recovery processesLabor & Delivery SupportOperate and monitor fetal monitoring equipmentAssist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sectionsManage high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies when neededMaintain accurate and timely patient documentationCoordinate patient care with physicians, surgical teams, neonatal staff, and ancillary departmentsCollaboration & ComplianceCollaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomesMaintain compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and patient safety protocolsParticipate in patient care planning, shift reports, and clinical handoffsSupport quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiativesQualificationsRequired ExperienceActive Registered Nurse (RN) licenseMinimum 1–2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience preferredExperience working in acute care or hospital environmentsStrong understanding of obstetric nursing practices and maternal-newborn careAbility to work effectively in high-pressure clinical situationsCertificationsBLS (Basic Life Support) requiredACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferredNRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) preferredFetal Monitoring certification preferredPreferred SkillsStrong critical thinking and clinical assessment abilitiesExcellent bedside manner and patient communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced healthcare environmentsExperience with electronic medical record (EMR) systemsStrong teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration skillsSchedule & Work EnvironmentFull-time opportunities availableDay shift, night shift, and rotating schedules availableWeekend and holiday rotation may applyOpportunity for overtime and shift differential payCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary aligned with regional North Dakota market ratesShift differentials and overtime opportunitiesComprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverageRetirement savings plan with employer contributionPTO and paid holidaysContinuing education and professional development supportRelocation assistance may be available depending on experience MOHR Talent is an equal-opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local nondiscrimination laws.
