In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom software tools and techniques primarily using Python, C++, and Java. Your work will support various platforms, including Windows and Linux systems, with a focus on low and high-level user space environments. You will diagnose issues, debug customer problems using industry-standard tools and custom toolsets, and oversee the end-to-end design, development, and testing of software solutions. Additionally, you will be tasked with documenting operational procedures and support techniques to ensure seamless deployment and ongoing maintenance. Your daily activities will include developing software components, creating helper tools, and utilizing debuggers, disassemblers, and diagnostic software to troubleshoot and resolve issues. You will participate in design meetings, provide mentorship to junior developers, and conduct code reviews to uphold quality standards. As a key interface with other developers and customer personnel, you will communicate requirements, project status, and technical solutions effectively. The role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to mission-critical projects that require innovative thinking, technical expertise, and collaborative problem-solving.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in programming with C/C++ or similar languages, along with proficiency in Python. A strong understanding of network protocols and operating system internals is essential. Experience with binary analysis tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, or similar is highly desirable. Candidates should have familiarity with modern software engineering principles, security technologies like Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) and Data Execution Prevention (DEP), and knowledge of common cyber network operations techniques. Additional qualifications include experience working with multiple architectures such as ARM, RISC, and PPC, and the ability to independently gather requirements, design solutions, and forecast project deliverables. Strong communication skills are necessary to present development plans and collaborate effectively with team members and clients. A Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field is required.
