Senior Dotnet Developer

Location: Columbus, Ohio (Hybrid - start out 3 days a week and then go to 1 or 2)Position Type: 6-month Contract to HirePosition SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in C#, .NET, Angular, and enterprise application development. This role will be a senior individual contributor responsible for designing and developing high-quality solutions while providing mentorship and guidance to less experienced developers.The ideal candidate is technically strong, collaborative, and passionate about sharing knowledge, improving development practices, and ensuring well-documented solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using C#, .NET, Angular, and SQL Server.Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Serve as a mentor and a trusted resource for mid-level and junior developers.Support team members through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.Participate in application architecture and design discussions.Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrated application solutions.Diagnoses and resolves complex application issues.Create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, system diagrams, support procedures, and API documentation.Promote development best practices related to performance, security, maintainability, and testing.Participate in Agile development activities and continuous improvement efforts.Required Qualifications7+ years of software development experience.Comfortable leading 1 to 2 Junior level DevelopersStrong experience with:C#.NET Framework and/or .NET Core/.NETAngularSQL ServerREST and SOAP APIsWindows Forms (WinForms)Experience working across the full software development lifecycle.Experience mentoring or coaching other developers.Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture principles.Experience with Git and CI/CD tools.Strong understanding of application security best practices.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated experience producing comprehensive technical documentation.Preferred QualificationsAzure cloud experience.Azure DevOps experience.
