Senior RAN and RF Integration Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking an Integration Engineer with strong expertise in Radio Access Network (RAN) and RF systems, paired with hands-on experience debugging RF setup issues. This role is responsible for validating and troubleshooting communication systems within a satellite end-to-end environment, ensuring network performance, reliability, and compliance with design expectations. The ideal candidate brings a balanced skill set across RAN technologies and RF fundamentals, along with practical experience using advanced RF and communication test equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform hands-on testing and validation of communication systems and RAN components in both lab and field environments
Debug and resolve RF setup issues, including antenna configurations, signal integrity, and end-to-end RF chain problems
Analyze and interpret lab and field test data to identify defects, root causes, and performance improvement opportunities
Collaborate closely with system engineers and software developers to validate new software releases and features
Support test planning, execution, documentation, and reporting for communication system and RAN validation activities
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering, or a related technical discipline
Experience
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in communication systems testing, RAN validation, and RF troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications
Strong RF fundamentals with demonstrated hands-on debugging capability
Working knowledge of 3GPP protocols and procedures, including RRC, RLC, MAC, and PHY layers
Experience using Python and MATLAB for test automation and data analysis
Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as XCAL, UE Simulators, Viavi, and QXDM
Hands-on experience with RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex RF and communication system challenges
Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate testing, validation, and documentation

Ability to work in laboratory environments and perform hands-on RF testing for extended periods
Ability to use a computer and test equipment for extended durations
Occasional travel required for field testing and validation activities
Requires relocation to Midland, TX
