Leach MD, a division of BASS Medical Group Walnut Creek, CAFront Office CoordinatorWe are a well-established OB/GYN practice seeking an experienced, reliable, and energetic Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with excellent customer service skills, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, team-focused, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities while ensuring a positive and efficient experience for our patients.Responsibilities• Greet and assist patients, vendors, pharmaceutical representatives, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.• Answer and manage high-volume phone calls, including message triage and call routing.• Schedule and confirm patient appointments both in person and over the phone.• Verify insurance and prepare billing information for upcoming appointments.• Collect patient co-payments and process transactions accurately.• Process prior authorizations as needed.• Enter and maintain accurate patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EPIC).• Scan and upload patient documents, including insurance cards, identification, lab results, and authorizations.• Notify providers of patient arrivals and assist in maintaining an efficient patient flow.• Manage office inventory, anticipate supply needs, and order materials including pharmaceutical samples.Requirements• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills• Strong verbal and written communication abilities• Knowledge of medical terminology• Proficiency in computer systems and typing• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EPIC preferred)• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment• Comfortable interacting with elderly and disabled patients• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentialityPreferred Qualifications• Strong multitasking and time management skills• Excellent telephone etiquette• High level of organization and attention to detail• Experience with scheduling and word processing• Professional demeanor and team-oriented mindset• Flexibility and adaptabilityCompensation & BenefitsAt BASS Medical Group, we prioritize the health and well-being of our employees by offering a comprehensive and competitive benefits package:Health & Welfare Benefits:Medical, low-cost dental and vision, Medical FSA and HSA optionsRetirement & Financial Security:401(k) with employer contribution, life and AD&D insurance, long-term disability, access to financial advisors, identity theft protectionWork/Life Balance:Paid time off, company-paid holidays, employee assistance program, wellness incentives, travel assistance, and additional lifestyle perks (including gym and mobile discounts)Voluntary Benefits:Optional life insurance, Aflac supplemental plans, and pet insurancePay Range:$25.00 -$29.00 per hourActual compensation will depend on experience, skills, location, and other job-related factors.
