You'll lead a team while staying close to the details, connecting product decisions to financial outcomes and keeping SoundPro's assortment ahead of market demand.Someone who leads with clarity, developing and supporting their team while maintaining a high standard of performanceExperienced in building vendor and manufacturer relationships and negotiating pricing, terms, and inventory positionsAnalytically minded, able to assess product performance, margins, and trends to inform smart buying decisionsOrganized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environmentA natural collaborator who works well across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to align purchasing and merchandising with business goalsAttentive to detail and proactive about identifying and resolving discrepancies, process gaps, and operational inefficienciesQualifications3+ years of experience in purchasing, merchandising, or sales within the professional audio, video, and lighting industry2+ years of experience leading direct reportsDeep product knowledge across professional audio (live sound, installed systems, recording), lighting (intelligent lighting, control systems, rigging), and video (broadcast, streaming, production gear)Experience with ERP systems and inventory management platformsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysisStrong negotiation, vendor management, and communication skillsBachelor's degree preferredBonus points for:Familiarity with eCommerce merchandising principlesExperience with drop shipments, RMAs, and order flow resolutionThe CultureWe're a tight-knit team, not a corporate machine.
