Ohio Licensed Outpatient Coding Specialist

A company is looking for a HIM Outpatient Coding Lead Specialist. Key Responsibilities Create education teams and topics for internal coding consistencies and research updates to coding procedures Assist with training new or existing coding specialists and provide cross-training as necessary Review abstracted data elements and ensure accuracy in EPIC for outpatient accounts Required Qualifications, Training, and Education Associate degree in health information or related field is preferred; bachelor's degree is preferred AHIMA or AAPC certification is required Minimum of 2 years of coding experience is required; 3 years is preferred Experience in ICD-10-CM, CPT coding, and classification systems is required Proficiency in MS Office or similar software is required; 3M software is preferred
