We are seeking a Microbiology Laboratory Technician to join our team in a critical Quality Control role. This is a Temp-to-Hire addition to our staff, perfect for a professional who enjoys independent work and has a passion for maintaining the highest standards of laboratory integrity.The OpportunityIn this role, you will be a key player in our quality assurance mission, executing a variety of microbiological and chemical tests in an ISO 5 and ISO 7 controlled environment. From environmental monitoring to testing advanced WFI (Water for Injection) systems, your work will directly ensure that our products meet stringent customer and regulatory specifications.Your ImpactPrecision Testing: Execute bioburden, sterility, endotoxin, and microbial limits testing with absolute accuracy.Aseptic Mastery: Operate within a clean room/gown room environment utilizing advanced aseptic techniques.System Oversight: Conduct compendium testing of WFI water, TOC, specific gravity, and environmental/personnel monitoring.Safety & Compliance: Maintain laboratory equipment, recognize out-of-specification (OOS) results, and immediately coordinate with leadership on corrective actions.Technical Documentation: Record and maintain meticulous data sets, ensuring all procedures comply with approved SOPs and regulatory standards.What You BringEducation: A Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, Biology, or Chemistry is preferred. Candidates with an Associate's Degree and 2+ years of relevant tech experience will also be considered.Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with microbes (bacteria, mold, yeast) and experience with common lab equipment (microscopes, autoclaves, etc.).Clean Room Savvy: Previous experience in a pharma, med-device, or food-grade gown room (ISO 5/7) is highly desirable.Early-Bird Reliability: You thrive in an early-shift environment and enjoy working independently while being part of a larger quality mission.Analytical Mindset: Basic math skills for dilution schemes and the ability to adapt rapidly to changing laboratory priorities.Shift & CompensationSchedule: Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Start your day early and have your afternoons free!); Potential for every other Saturday support.Pay Rate: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour (DOE).Location: St Louis MOWhy Join Us?This is a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where your contributions are noticed.
