Project Manager

Job Title: Project Manager Location: Clinton Township (Metro Detroit area) - ~50% office / ~50% on-site (projects within approx. one hour) About the OpportunityWe're seeking an experienced Project Manager in Detroit. This individual will manage multiple small commercial ground-up projects concurrently and play a key role in project delivery, team coordination, and client satisfaction. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects from pre-construction through close-out, balancing both office-based planning and field presence. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at managing multiple builds at once, and maintains strong organization and communication across diverse teams. Key ResponsibilitiesManage several small commercial ground-up projects simultaneously. Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and subcontractor coordination. Conduct routine site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, and progress reports. Identify and mitigate project risks; proactively address issues as they arise. Facilitate effective communication among internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders. Uphold the company's standards for quality, professionalism, and client service. Qualifications5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management. Proven success managing multiple projects concurrently. Experience with ground-up commercial construction. Strong financial, organizational, and leadership skills. Proficiency with construction project management software and Microsoft Office. Valid driver's license with ability to travel locally between job sites. Preferred AttributesFamiliarity with the Michigan commercial construction market (not required). Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, or OSHA 30. Experience in fast-paced environments with repeatable or quick-turn project types. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with clients and subcontractors.
