THIS IS A CONTRACT ROLE UNTIL OCTOBERAbout the jobThe Finance & Operations Coordinator will support finance operations, facilities coordination, andadministrative processes while working closely with leadership, staff, and cross-functional teamsto ensure smooth day-to-day operations.We're looking for someone who● Holds a bachelor's degree● Has 0–2 years of experience in finance, administration, operations, or related fields● Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail● Can multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment● Communicates effectively and works collaboratively across teams● Has strong customer service and interpersonal skills● Is comfortable handling confidential information with discretion● Is proficient in Workday, Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint● Has strong math and budget tracking skills● (Preferred) Has prior experience in higher education or academic environmentsWhat you'll do● Support daily finance and administrative operations for the department● Review and coordinate financial tasks and expense-related processes in Workday● Provide guidance on financial policies and procedures to staff and faculty● Coordinate conference room scheduling and facilities support● Manage building access requests and security coordination● Support event planning logistics and facilities-related requests● Conduct room usage audits and support space planning initiatives● Assist with quarterly furniture resets and routine facilities walkthroughs● Track and follow up on technology, facilities, and access requests● Prepare grant spending progress reports and operational updates● Maintain accurate operational and finance-related web resources● Support leadership during peak workload periods and operational needs● Ensure timely, accurate, and organized financial and administrative reportingPhysical requirements● Must be able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods● Must be able to move between office buildings or campus locations as needed● Must be comfortable working in an indoor office environment with frequent interruptions● May occasionally travel locally for meetings, vendors, or operational supportCompany DescriptionSlingShot Connections provides contract staffing, direct hire placement, executive search recruitment, payroll services, and customized staffing solutions for numerous verticals, including accounting & finance, hospitality, human resources, and many more.Company DescriptionSlingShot Connections provides contract staffing, direct hire placement, executive search recruitment, payroll services, and customized staffing solutions for numerous verticals, including accounting & finance, hospitality, human resources, and many more.
