This is an opportunity to help deliver cutting-edge autonomous aerial systems while working closely with engineering teams, customers, and field operators.What you'll be doingDesign and develop autonomy software for advanced aerial robotic platformsBuild navigation, mapping, localisation and decision-making systemsDevelop production-grade software using C++ and PythonImplement sensor fusion, perception and real-time control algorithmsIntegrate perception, planning and control systems into operational platformsSupport field deployments, demonstrations and pilot programmesWork directly with stakeholders to understand operational requirementsTroubleshoot and optimise robotic systems in live environmentsTranslate field feedback into product enhancements and future roadmap prioritiesContribute to software quality, reliability, security and maintainability standardsCollaborate closely with multidisciplinary hardware and software engineering teamsWhat we're looking for5+ years' experience developing robotics or autonomy softwareStrong commercial experience with C++ and PythonHands-on experience with ROS and autonomous robotic systemsExperience with aerial platforms and flight controllers such as PX4 or ArdupilotKnowledge of SLAM, localisation, path planning, sensor fusion, perception or computer visionAbility to operate effectively in fast-moving, deployment-focused environmentsStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsDegree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar disciplineNice to haveCI/CD, containerisation and broader DevOps practicesMachine learning applied to roboticsHardware integration and rapid prototyping experienceControl systems and kinematics knowledgeDefence, military or high-security environment experienceActive security clearanceWhat's on offerCompetitive salary and benefits packageFully covered employee health benefits with dependent support401(k), FSA, HSA and commuter benefitsFlexible holiday and sick leaveOpportunity to work on genuinely impactful autonomous systemsHigh-growth startup environment with significant technical ownership
