Core Faculty - Internal Medicine - Houston Methodist The WoodlandsInterested applicants, please forward a copy of your CV to Rob Henges - Henges_MDrecruitment@houstonmethodist.orgHouston Methodist The Woodlands is seeking a board-certified Internal Medicine physician to supervise Internal Medicine residents and serve as Core Faculty for the Internal Medicine residency program. This is a clinical faculty position with a strong focus on academic responsibilities. Responsibilities include:Oversee residents in the outpatient clinic, providing direct observation, real-time feedback, and guidance on patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and communication.Experience in teaching medical students and/or residents in an academic medical center or similar setting is highly desirable.Administer and maintain an educational environment conducive to educating residents in each of the ACGME competency areas in the outpatient setting.Regularly facilitate and lead organized clinical discussions, including journal clubs, didactics, and patient safety conferences. Serve as role models and mentors for the residents.Participate in scholarly activities with the residents, such as research (basic, clinical, or educational), quality improvement projects, case reports, and review articles.Contribute to the overall development and improvement of the internal medicine residency program, particularly the outpatient component.Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, residents, and other healthcare professionals.State of the art clinic designscreensharing exam rooms making it the ideal teaching environmentself-serve kiosk check-inPart of time will be spent in clinic building own panel of patients while other portion will be spent with precepting residents in clinic.
