Nurture children through purposeful programs dedicated to buildingrelationships, achievement, and belonging. Develop intentional relationships and maintain effective dailycommunication with participants and parents using the Y voiceattributes. Implement the established curriculum that achieves the five CauseMeasurement goals. Use positive behavior guidance techniques to support childrensappropriate development and behavior. Monitor and ensure the health and safety of participants, families,staff, and volunteers by following and implementing ChildDevelopment Branch approved Leading Practices. Use Y Core Values, developmentally appropriate practices, andeffective teaching strategies to support each childs uniquebackground, needs and different learning styles. Maintain an indoor and outdoor environment that is well equipped,organized, safe, clean, and welcoming. The environment is createdbased on the belief that all children learn best through play,positive adult interaction, and hands on open-ended experiences.**Qualifications:** Must be 16 years of age or older. One or more years of experience working with children preferred. Apprentice/CDA Candidates or Enrollees preferred. Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all peoplefeel welcome. Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergencysituations. Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and besensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing withothers.**REQUIRED LICENSURE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS:** Boise City and/or Idaho State Child Care License Prerequisite uponhire, 14-day compliance period. Pediatric CPR/AED Prerequisite upon hire, 14-day compliance period.
