If you have a passion for teaching chemistry and guiding students in faith and knowledge, we invite you to apply!Job RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:Faith-Based Commitment: A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agreement with GCA’s Statement of Faith.Education: Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, science, education, or a related field (master’s degree a plus).Certification: Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain).Experience: Previous teaching experience preferred, but recent graduates or candidates with strong chemistry content knowledge and a heart for Christian education are encouraged to apply.Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for mentoring students academically and spiritually.RESPONSIBILITIES:Academic Excellence Teach high school chemistry courses in alignment with GCA’s mission and academic standards.Develop and deliver engaging lessons that promote scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving.Present complex chemical concepts (atomic structure, bonding, reactions, stoichiometry, etc.) in clear and meaningful ways.Design and supervise laboratory experiments that reinforce course concepts, while maintaining strict safety standards.Assess student progress regularly and provide timely, constructive feedback.Prepare students for advanced science coursework and college-level expectations.Spiritual IntegrationHelp students recognize God’s design, order, and consistency within chemical systems and the natural world.Integrate biblical truth into instruction in a thoughtful and developmentally-appropriate way.Model Christlike character in all interactions with students and colleagues.Participate in prayer, devotions, and chapel services as required.Classroom Management and Student Support Maintain a structured, respectful, and Christ-centered classroom environment.Ensure a safe laboratory environment, including proper chemical handling, storage, and disposal procedures.Provide support to students who need additional help mastering concepts.Encourage students to apply biblical wisdom in their academic and personal lives.Collaboration and Professional Growth Collaborate with faculty to strengthen the science department and overall academic program.Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress.Support extracurricular activities and school community initiatives as appropriate.Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, résumé, statement of faith, and three references to employment@genoachristianacademy.org.
