Java DevOps Engineer

Sr. Devops Software EngineerOur team does operations software development and release management. Development is primarily CI/CD driven, but we occasionally do platform feature work that is cross-domain.We are looking for a Sr. Devops Software Engineer who is willing to learn new technologies and can lead a project. Technical requirements are in the description.Primary Responsibilities:Perform all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design, code development and testingDesign and implement performance and operational enhancementsDesign reusable components, frameworks and librariesReview code and provide feedback relative to best practices and improving performanceTroubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and come up with solutions as requiredWork very closely with architecture groups and drive solutionsParticipate in an Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases every 2 weeks through SprintsMentor and guide other software engineers within the teamWork with a team of software engineers for one or more Agile scrum teams assigned to work on the projectDesigns, codes, tests, debug, and documents software, and enhance existing components to ensure that software meets business needsContribute to the design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software and should be able to clearly articulate the implications of design/architectural decisions, issues and plans to technology leadershipProvide hands-on leadership, coaching, mentoring, and software engineering best practices to junior software engineersDevelop reusable patterns and encourage innovation that will enable team velocityCollaborate on the design with other team members and product owners, both inside and outside the scrum teamEstimate engineering work effort for engineering team and effectively identify and prioritize the high impact tasksConduct design and code reviews to ensure code developed meets coding best practices guidelines, unit testing, security, and scalability and maintainability guidelinesParticipate in on-call Dev-Ops support rotationRequired:2+ years of Java or Object Oriented programming language experienceExperience with relational databases and SQLExperience in one or more ORM technologies (like Hibernate, JPA, or similar)Preferred:Experience with JenkinsExperience with Spring frameworkExperience with APIs/microservicesExperience with automated unit testing technologies (such as JUnit, Spock, or similar)Four year degree in computer science or equivalent experience
