This position will develop and enhance secure, scalable software applications that directly support mission operations.The Software Engineer will work within an Agile development environment and collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to design, build, test, and deploy modern software solutions. The role emphasizes Java and Python development, RESTful API integration, relational databases, and secure application development within Linux/Unix environments.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications and servicesDevelop backend software solutions using PythonDevelop and maintain applications utilizing Java and PythonDesign, build, integrate, and consume RESTful APIs supporting application functionality and system interoperabilityDesign, develop, and optimize solutions utilizing relational databasesCollaborate with software engineers, architects, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and implement effective solutionsTroubleshoot software defects, system integration issues, and application performance problemsParticipate in code reviews and promote software engineering best practicesContribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through deployment and sustainmentParticipate in Agile ceremonies and activities, including sprint planning, development, testing, and retrospectivesEnsure software solutions meet security, performance, scalability, and maintainability requirementsRequired Qualifications Must be fully cleared with a recent polygraphMust be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this postingBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experienceExpert-level software engineering experience; the RFQ identifies the position as requiring 12+ years of experience with a Master’s degreeExperience developing applications using Java and PythonExperience designing and consuming RESTful APIsStrong experience with relational databases such as:PostgreSQLOracleMicrosoft SQL ServerMySQLExperience developing and maintaining software within Linux/Unix environmentsUnderstanding of software engineering best practices, including version control, software testing, and code reviewsExperience working within Agile software development environmentsDesired QualificationExperience developing cloud-based applications, preferably within AWS environmentsExperience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesExperience with containerization technologies and microservices architecturesExperience with Git, Jenkins, Terraform, or similar development and infrastructure toolsFamiliarity with Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, or related enterprise search technologiesExperience supporting government or Intelligence Community programs#CJFantom Corp is a Software Development, Agile Cloud, Software Development, Cyber Security (Risk Management, Assessments & Authorization (A&A)), Data, AI Platform (Computer Vision Models), Podcasting Media Services, and IT Services provider.
