Telecon is looking for a Directional Drill Operator to join our growing Civil Team! This position is based out of the Tacoma, Washington area.Working under the direction of the Supervisor, the Directional Driller will be responsible for safely and effectively operating a Directional Drill.This is a full-time position which includes weekly pay, Benefits, 401K as well as opportunities for growth!Pay range: $30-37 an hour, based on experienceYOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO:In conjunction with locator, operate the directional drill using the selected bore heads and back reamers to place cables and / or duct.Load and unload directional drill equipment in a manner that is secure and damage free.Transport associated tools, materials and/or equipment in a safe manner.Complete Driver's logbook & daily vehicle inspection (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, accident, or incident reports.Complete a daily inspection on equipment prior to commencing work.Prepare the drill fluid based on site conditions prior to boring commencing.Troubleshoot any equipment issues and relay to service technician for assistance or resolution.Able to operate the drill locater as required.Other duties as required.THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:CDL is strongly preferredMust have 1-3 years previous Drilling experience and working around existing buried utilitiesGood communication skills with the ability to work in a team environmentMust be able to lift 23 kg (50 lbs.)Must provide a clean driving record (abstract) and criminal check prior to employment commencingAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsMust be familiar with OSHA requirementsDemonstrated commitment to health and safety and willing to receive applicable Health and Safety as per job requirementsIS THIS YOU?
