Contract consulting opportunity for experienced digital content librarian/DAM administrator.Client requirements: Hybrid onsite (3 days/week in Minneapolis area)W2 hourly only (no c2c, no indep./1099)Work authorization status: US Citizen or GC holderThe Digital Content Librarian / DAM Administrator manages day-to-day Digital Asset Management (DAM) operations and governance. This role ensures digital assets and modular content are accurate, compliant, searchable, reusable, and activation-ready. As a steward of the DAM ecosystem, this position maintains the platform as the single source of truth while driving best practices, collaboration, and continuous improvement. ResponsibilitiesDAM OperationsManage asset ingestion, organization, and lifecycle processesExecute versioning, archival, and retirement workflowsMaintain DAM as the authoritative source for digital assetsMetadata, Taxonomy & FindabilityApply and enforce metadata and taxonomy standardsEnsure assets are properly tagged and easily discoverableIdentify and clean up duplicate, outdated, or misclassified contentModular Content StewardshipMaintain module and template librariesManage version control for safe content reuseSupport activation across platforms (CMS, email, CRM)Compliance & GovernanceEnforce approvals, expiration dates, and usage rightsSupport audit readiness and regulatory requirementsPrevent use of expired or restricted assetsDevelop and maintain content authoring guidelinesCollaboration & Thought LeadershipLead DAM best practices and governance initiativesFacilitate cross-functional collaboration across stakeholdersStay current on DAM trends and recommend improvementsAdoption & Continuous ImprovementSupport onboarding and training for DAM usersProvide feedback to improve tools and workflowsMonitor content health, usage, and adoptionIdentify opportunities for automation and optimizationKey DeliverablesWell-governed DAM library with accurate metadataDocumented standards and operational playbooksInsights on content health and reuseQualificationsMinimum Requirements3–6+ years in DAM, content operations, or library managementDAM platform certification (e.g., AEM)Strong attention to detail and governance mindsetExperience collaborating with cross-functional teamsFamiliarity with metadata and taxonomy standardsBasic knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)Preferred QualificationsExperience with modular content or reusable content strategiesMetadata/taxonomy certifications (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK)Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) and copyright standardsExperience in regulated industries (e.g., financial services)ITR Group offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, and 401(k) for eligible employees.
