Job Title: Registered Nurse (School) Duration: 5 weeksLocation: Chicopee, MA 01022Shift: 40 hours (Day shift)Summary:Participate in the medical examination of students.• Specimen (blood and urine) collection as needed (phlebotomy).• Screen patients and refer them to the Center Physician, Health and Wellness Manager, and/or the Center Mental Health.• Observe, record, and report patients' vital signs, symptoms, and behavior.• Perform first aid treatment as needed.• Assist the physician with patient examinations; prepare patients for tests and examinations.• Provide guidance to students on personal hygiene.• Prepare and administer prescribed medications as directed.• Maintain medical equipment and inventory of supplies and medications.• Maintain accurate medical records.• Promote projects that support health and safety throughout the center.• Review of applicant folders for admission for appropriateness.
