A licensed practical nurse (LPN) is needed to provide dedicated one-on-one nursing support to a high school student in Piedmont, SC. This contract position requires care for a cognitively high-functioning student who is paralyzed and needs specialized medical attention during the school week, excluding Wednesdays. The role combines nursing skills with hands-on support in a school environment.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct nursing care and support to a high school student on a 1:1 basis during school hoursMonitor and manage the student's medical needs, including ventilator care, as applicableAssist with personal care and mobility as needed, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the school dayCoordinate with school staff and healthcare professionals to maintain a supportive, educational environmentRide the bus with the student to and from school as part of daily dutiesMaintain accurate documentation and communication regarding the student's health statusQualifications:Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current certification and licensingPrior experience working with ventilator-dependent patients is preferredPrevious experience providing nursing care in school or related settings is a plusAbility to build rapport with students and collaborate effectively with educators and familiesStrong organizational and communication skills to ensure continuity of careSchedule and Location:Approximately 30 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday with Wednesdays offPosition requires travel on school bus in Piedmont, SC
