Electrical EstimatorLocation: Fully RemoteThe Electrical Estimator will report to the Preconstruction Manager and play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive project estimates. This position is responsible for identifying material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor requirements needed to complete electrical construction projects successfully.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop cost estimates from initial takeoff through final bid turnover.Perform detailed on-screen takeoffs and markup review using estimating software.Use ConEst and Bluebeam to support all estimating activities.Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor requirements for project completion.Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents with precision.Prepare, compute, and submit accurate bid proposals.Build estimates for change orders and maintain organized documentation for all pricing revisions.Work closely with project teams to improve change management processes.Request, review, and compare pricing from vendors and suppliers.Evaluate equipment costs, including purchase and rental options.Attend pre-bid meetings, scope reviews, and site walks as needed.Visit project sites to assess labor needs, materials, and field logistics.Communicate with engineers, clients, vendors, and project managers throughout the estimating process.Identify project risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering options.Estimate electrical projects of varying size and complexity.Manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism under pressure.QualificationsRequired:6-8 years of experience with a high school diploma, or4-6 years of experience with an associate degree, or0-2 years of experience with a bachelor's degreeStrong working knowledge of ConEst, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office SuiteUnderstanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and low-voltage systemsAbility to read, interpret, and evaluate drawings, specifications, and contract documentsStrong math, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to identify and manage risks across different project typesExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to juggle multiple estimates and meet tight deadlinesPreferred:Hands-on electrical construction experienceExperience with mission-critical environments such as data centers, hospitals, or other high-availability facilitiesJourneyman or Master Electrician license
