Key Responsibilities:
Android Development: Design, develop, and maintain Android applications, ensuring they meet performance, quality, and scalability standards.
Google Glass Integration: Lead the integration of Google Glass into Walmart’s tech ecosystem, creating applications that optimize in-store navigation, inventory management, and customer interactions.
Augmented Reality Solutions: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and implement AR solutions that improve user experience and operational workflows.
UI/UX Design: Ensure a seamless user interface tailored for wearable technology, with a focus on usability and accessibility.
Code Optimization: Write clean, efficient, and reusable code, and participate in code reviews to maintain high development standards.
Project Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver innovative solutions that align with Walmart’s strategic goals.
Testing & Debugging: Conduct unit testing and debugging of applications to ensure robust and error-free functionality.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in AR and Android development, and bring innovative ideas to the team.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of experience in Android development with a strong portfolio of released applications on Google Play.
AR Expertise: Proven experience working with AR frameworks and Google Glass, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities of developing for wearable tech.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Android SDK, and Android Studio. Experience with RESTful APIs, Git, and cloud services is a plus.
UI/UX: Strong understanding of material design principles, with experience creating intuitive user interfaces for wearable devices.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time.
Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Retail Technology Experience: Previous experience in retail technology or in developing applications for large-scale deployments.
AR Tools: Familiarity with ARCore, Unity, or similar AR development platforms.

Pay: $63.98 - $69.10 per hour
