This role partners closely with Plant Management to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes, identify cost-reduction opportunities, and enhance overall profitability.The Plant Controller ensures the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial results and safeguards plant assets for a multi-line manufacturing and warehousing facility with significant operational complexity. This role is a key member of the Plant Management team and provides timely, comprehensive financial leadership.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsure accurate and timely financial reportingLead forecasting and budget planningConduct capital expenditure analysis and reportingPerform accurate cost analysis and variance analysisEnsure compliance with internal controls and corporate policiesSupport continuous improvement initiatives to maximize financial performancePartner with Plant Management to set annual standards and production yieldsProvide financial guidance and proactive communication on accounting issuesSupport capital expenditure requests and perform post-project auditsMaintain effective inventory and operating expense managementCollaborate with Corporate Finance to ensure consistent financial practicesSupport internal and external auditsManage weekly/monthly/quarterly flash forecastsIdentify risks and opportunitiesLead development of the annual operating planRecommend process improvements to enhance financial performanceAnalyze financial data to support decision-makingEducation & ExperienceB.S./B.A. in Accounting5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentStrong manufacturing cost accounting and plant controlling experiencePrior Senior Cost Accounting/Plant Cost Accounting experience preferredERP system experience requiredStrong Microsoft Office skillsStrong knowledge of warehouse/manufacturing cost accounting and controlsPrior in-plant manufacturing industry experience required.Core Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and strategic problem-solving skillsAbility to operate effectively in a changing environmentHigh accountability, ownership, and sense of urgencySelf-starter with strong initiativeStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to multitask under tight deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsFinancial analysis and data interpretation skillsBudgeting & Forecasting: Ability to prepare annual budgets and periodic forecastsCost Accounting: Expertise in standard costing, variance analysis, and cost controlInventory Control: Experience with cycle counts, physical inventories, and valuationFinancial Reporting: Ability to close books and prepare financial statementsInternal Controls: Maintain robust financial controlsTechnical Proficiency: ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced ExcelPhysical Demands (Manufacturing Plant)Frequent listening, communication, and information assessmentOccasional plant-floor presence with exposure to machineryMay require moving materials up to 50 lbs (adjust if not applicable)May require standing or remaining stationary for extended periodsMay require bending, reaching, kneeling, or similar movementsWork EnvironmentExposure to moving mechanical partsIndoor manufacturing environment with potential heat exposureLoud noise, odors, and occasional airborne particlesPPE required in plant areas (hairnet, hearing protection, safety glasses)EEO StatementWinCup is an EEO/AA and E-Verify employer committed to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity.
