Older Adult Program Coordinator
Syntero is hiring for an Older Adult Program Coordinator. This professional serves as the internal programmatic consultant supporting services on behalf of older adults and their caregivers. This includes supervision, training, implementation of evidence-based models of care, program development, administration and evaluation of the Older Adult Program.
Recruit, train, supervise, and retain qualified professional staff.
Supervise and evaluate older adult staff’s programmatic and administrative practices; supervise and evaluate older adult staff’s clinical practice in collaboration with the Outreach Programs Manager.
Ensure that the staffing levels in the older adult services programs are at the appropriate levels at all times to meet overall agency goals and community service demands.
Review caseloads and staff efficiency and determine caseload expectations accordingly.
Provide community support services and aging supportive services at a caseload negotiated with the Outreach Programs Manager; this could include facilitating support and/or educational groups.
Review staff paperwork/documents for accuracy.
Qualifications
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in behavioral health, human services or related field.
Experience: At least three years of experience, including direct services, supervision, administration, quality improvement, program planning and community organization. Experience providing and planning services on behalf of older adults.
License: None required, LISW-S or LPCC-S preferred.
Skills:
Strong communication/supportive counseling skills required including interviewing, assessment, conflict resolution skills; ability to relate well with clients, family members and other professionals.
Requires access to or ownership of an automobile; a valid driver’s license and appropriate insurance.
Ability to provide and develop diverse programs and individualized services for older adults, dependent adults, and their families so they can preserve their independence, ability to communicate articulately and effectively, possesses a solid commitment to the coordination of services, and working in a team environment. Ability to provide team supervision, market programs, and build and/or maintain community partnerships.
