Housekeeper

PRIMARY FUNCTION:Responsible for daily cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned residential units, common spaces, hallways/corridors, restrooms and offices to ensure that the highest degree of quality is maintained at all times. Also included in this position is the expectation that the person in this job will:Uphold and put into daily practice the values of Carol Woods.Support the well-being and quality of life of every individual resident.Function as a good steward of resident resources.Contribute to Carol Woods approach to continual quality improvement. Support the concepts of a learning organization.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Clean residents' apartments and private living spacesAssist in laundry room as requiredEnsure that equipment is cleaned, maintained, in proper working order and stored properly at the end of each shiftEnsure that common spaces are routinely cleanedImmediate treatment of carpet stains as well as report to management to ensure timely cleanlinessReport any signs of unusual behavior or apparent illness of a resident to managementReport any safety issues to managementAll other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS:Education:High School Degree or Equivalent Certificate. Experience:Experience in a Healthcare Facility preferred Previous housekeeping experience preferred. Physical:Must be able to lift objects up to 30 lbs, Walk, bend and reach for extended periods of time. Competencies:ConfidentialityOrganization Working Conditions:Climate controlled environment but must travel outdoors between buildings.
