PAINT LINE ASSISTANT-1ST SHIFT
Summary/Objectives
The Paint Line Assistant supports daily operations of the paint line by preparing materials, assisting with painting processes, and ensuring finished products meet quality standards. This role is essential to maintaining efficient production flow, safety, and cleanliness within the paint department.
Essential Functions
Assist in the setup, operation, and breakdown of the paint line
Load and unload parts onto conveyors, racks, or fixtures
Prepare materials for painting, including cleaning, masking, and sanding parts
Monitor painted parts for defects such as runs, uneven coverage, or contamination
Perform basic touch-ups or rework as directed
Maintain cleanliness of the paint line, booths, and work areas
Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures
Assist with routine maintenance of paint line equipment
Communicate issues or production delays to supervisors
Expectations
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous manufacturing or paint line experience is a plus, but not required
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong attention to detail and quality
Basic mechanical aptitude
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. Environment is not fully climate controlled.
