Renewable Energy Engineer

We are hiring a Renewable Energy Engineer to lead performance optimization and reliability initiatives across a utility-scale solar fleet. This role requires strong expertise in power electronics, inverter technologies, and data-driven engineering, as well as the ability to operate independently and drive technical decisions.What You’ll DoImprove CWE and ROCC processes through standardization and automationDevelop and maintain troubleshooting guides for high-frequency inverter fault codes across OEMsBuild and manage a centralized fault code database, including “Do Not Reset” protocolsApply AI/ML techniques to structure troubleshooting workflows and extract insights from operational dataAct as the primary technical liaison between the Solar Inverter Fleet Team, ROCC, CWE, and OEMsPerform root cause analysis for inverter and component failures across solar sitesSupport failure rate analysis and define corrective action plansServe as subject matter expert for at least one inverter manufacturerProvide advanced technical support to field technicians and control center teamsSupport regulatory reporting and ensure fleet complianceWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field5+ years of engineering experience in electrical systemsHands-on experience with utility-scale inverters and power electronicsStrong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionallyNice to HaveMaster’s degree in Electrical Engineering2+ years of specialized experience with solar invertersSix Sigma Green BeltExperience in operations support or control center environmentsThis role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of renewable energy and advanced engineering, driving efficiency and reliability across a growing solar portfolio.
