Job Summary
STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Finest Known, a national retailer of Exquisite Historic Rarities, is looking for a self-motivated Staff Accountant to join our financial management department in our Torrance office, located near PCH and Hawthorne Blvd.
In this position, you’ll play an important role in our company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting and compliance with the law. Other responsibilities might include light office administration and occasional shipping support as needed.
99% staff accounting experience (AR, AP, GL, Balance Sheet reconciliations, Inventory, Sales Tax)
0.5% office administrative (HR, insurance, payroll)
0.5% support services (shipping)

Accountant Skills and Qualifications
• Experience with accounting ERP (preferably Sage Intacct).
• Broad knowledge of AP, AR, GL, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Comprehension of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Solid understanding of accounting rules and procedures.
• Advanced knowledge and experience of spreadsheets.
• Capability to review financial statements, identify and correct errors.
• Investigative nature to track errors back to the source for accuracy.
• Accurate financial reporting and record keeping skills.
• Tracking of financial documents for analysis.
• Proficient analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and accurately.
• Positive interpersonal and communication skills
Accountant Education and Training
The position requires an Associate Degree in accounting, finance, or similar field, though a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted. Two to three years of relevant hands-on accounting experience preferred.
