Math Curriculum Designer, Assessment Focus

Math Curriculum Designer IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking an experienced, passionate educator to join our team as a Math Curriculum Designer and help shape our growing suite of K–12 math assessments. This is a full-time remote position for candidates in the United States.What You'll Be Doing Write and review clear, engaging assessment items to address specified educational objectives in 6–12 mathReview assessment items for clarity, writing quality, typos, formatting, and mathematical accuracyWrite achievement level descriptors and other assessment documentationCollaborate with curriculum designers, psychometricians, program managers, and company leaders to determine assessment scope and approachCoordinate with contracted item writers, editors, and visual designers to create and deliver high-quality assessment itemsResearch and analyze content requirements, including state educational standardsAssist with other math curriculum design projects as assigned, such as creating and reviewing standards alignments and writing and reviewing math problems for IXL's learning activitiesWhat We're Looking For Bachelor's in Mathematics strongly preferred - Master's or Ph.D. in Mathematics is a plus2+ years' experience writing items for widely-used assessments required; assessment writing for statewide or national assessments strongly preferredK–12 math teaching or tutoring experienceExcellent writing abilityStrong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skillsCan-do attitude with an openness to others' ideasHighly self-motivated and efficient with superb attention to detailExperience in curriculum development and instructional design is a plusKnowledge of computer programming, mobile, and web technologies is a plusAbout IXL Learning IXL Learning is the country's largest EdTech company.
