Staff Accountant
General Description Of AssignmentWorks as a key member of the Company's finance team to assist the Company in reaching targeted goals. Assist by developing, managing and administering the organization's accounting functions. These functions include establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, and procedures. Assists in the preparation and evaluation of budgets and other financial operating reports. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Manages & supervises day-to-day cash transactions and reconciliation with the organizations accountsAssists in the random audit of work flow to assure that all accounting transactions are appropriately allocatedSupervises and prepares general ledgerPerforms monthly balance sheet account reconciliationsPerforms month end closing and financial reporting process including account analysis Prepares financial information in accordance with GAAPEnsures compliance of internal controls and policies, May train staff on internal controlAssists with preparing monthly financial statements and closing processReviews periodic financial data to ensure accuracyMaintains mechanisms preventing inaccuracies in accountingAssist with monitoring the quarterly budget.Assist in preparation of the annual auditPrepare routine financial reports and ad-hoc reports for operational review and decisionAccounts Payable oversightMonth-End Journal entries Balance various inventories, fixed assets and create GL entries reflecting monthly usageWorks on special projects, as neededPerform other duties as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NoneTRAVEL: Minimal travel is expected of this position.EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCEBachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related area, requiredCPA preferred1-3 Years relevant experience as a staff accountant or junior accountantNon-Profit experience preferredProficient in 365Proficient in AccountingAcumatica software knowledge a plusKnowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Strong technical accounting and financial analysis skillsKnowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems It is CFKC's policy to perform a background and drug screen once a conditional offer has been executed.
