Child & Family Therapist - culturally specific

Anchor Within Counseling is an outpatient group practice looking for a pre-licensed or licensed Child & Family Therapist with a focus on serving children ages 8+ and their families. We offer racially-specific and culturally-specific services to everyone, and prioritize care to the Black and Brown community. Responsibilities Conduct individual and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, narrative, emotion focused therapy, family systems. Assess clients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to provide comprehensive care. Complete risk assessments and provide crisis intervention support as needed Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of child and family therapy. Qualifications Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field Valid Oregon licensure or pre-license to deliver mental health care Experience working with individuals and families in a therapeutic setting Familiarity with medical terminology related to mental health conditions. Strong communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
