Job DescriptionConstruction Manager -Small Cell & Fiber -SeattleWe are currently recruiting for a Construction Manager for Small Cell node projects;including the identification of equipment BOM's and materials, support with Vendor / GC selection, on-site management, coordination of contractors, OEM installers and customer representatives. This is a field based positionResponsibilities:Actively participate in and make recommendations in support of the Vendor / GC selection processIdentify, track, and support the procurement and release of materials required to complete the workAttend deployment and other customer meetings as a subject matter expert for Client, maintain documentation and support team leads as neededMake regular and consistent visits to sites during construction, including bids walks, pre-construction walks, in progress site visits, punch walks and construction closeout visitsSchedule preconstruction meetings and inspections with applicable jurisdictional and Utility inspectorsResponsible to maintain costs within the scope of the project budget(s), hold Vendors accountable to ensure budgets are maintained;ensure Supervisor / Managers are aware of issues that will impact project completion or cost -identify and mitigate risksResponsible to problem solve issues that may occur onsite and make recommendations based on priority and need to ensure the project and budget are maintainedEnsure all work is completed in accordance with Client construction standards, processes, and proceduresEnsure accurate and complete files are maintained for projects and appropriate closeout documents are distributed in a timely manner and are in accordance with corporate and customer standardsEnsure that all jobs are maintained in a project tracking system with complete accuracyAct as safety observer and Quality Assurance representative while at the site ensuring compliance with Client safety program and related workmanship practicesRequirementsMinimum five (5) years of telecommunications/wireless construction experience -preferably small cells, in the ROWKnowledge of Construction techniques (aerial & underground) for Small Cells and Fiber in the Right of WayFamiliarity with test equipment and techniques for performing RF Sweep and PIM tests, Fiber Optic OTDR/OPL testingWorking knowledge of GO95, NESC, NEC and OSHA standardsExperience with providing leadership and direction to construction / installation crewsExperience managing multiple projects that are at any time in various stages of construction and integrationKnowledge of fiber / copper standards is desirableExperience with copper splicing and power over copper is a plusOSHA 10 Certification (If not current, will need to take Client Training within first 2 weeks)TekCom Resources is an Equal Opportunity EmployerKey SkillsConstruction / Project Manager (Small Cell, Back-haul, Fiber, Tower), Public Right of Way (ROW), Lineman, CRO.Benefits:Employees (and their families) have a choice of plans to purchase and enroll, including medical/vision, minimum essential coverage and/or dental.
