Senior Accountant
Senior Accountant / Audit & Accounting SeniorIndependent CPA FirmNorth Dallas, TX$90,000 to $110,000If you have experience in audit and accounting and want more exposure to tax, you can do it here. This is a good opportunity for someone with a minimum of 2 to 3 years of public accounting experience who wants to broaden out rather than stay in one lane. You might already have some tax exposure, or you might be coming from more of an audit and assurance background and want the chance to build that side of your skill set properly. We’re working with an independent CPA firm in North Dallas, TX with a team of 13 people, including 3 Partners and 5 CPAs. They are looking to hire someone into a mixed role that will involve compilations, review work, and broader accounting support, with scope to grow into tax over time. They are open minded on background. Ideally, they would like someone who has seen both audit and tax, but that is not a deal breaker. If they find someone with a solid audit and accounting foundation who wants to learn tax, they are happy to support that. Why this role stands outFor the right person, this is the sort of move that can open things up.Instead of being kept in a narrow role, you will be joining a smaller firm where there is room to grow your experience across different service lines and where your development can actually be shaped around what the business needs and what you want to build. There is also a longer term angle to this hire. The firm is seeing more and more demand from clients for bookkeeping support, so they see this person becoming involved in reviewing that work in future as that side of the practice continues to grow.It is a chance to join a close knit team, work directly with experienced people, and build a broader skill set in an environment where your contribution will be visible. What you will be doingYou will work across a mix of compilations, reviews, and wider accounting assignments for clients, with the opportunity to develop your tax exposure as you go.Over time, the role could also expand into reviewing bookkeeping work and helping support an area of growing demand within the firm. What they are looking forThey are looking for someone with 2 to 3 years of public accounting experience who wants more breadth and can see the value in joining a smaller independent firm. You will likely have experience in some of the following:• Audit• Accounting• Compilations• Reviews• Client facing work in public accountingCPA or CPA eligible is preferred, but not essential.Salary and setupSalary is expected to be in the $90,000 to $100,000 range, with flexibility up to $110,000 for someone who is a particularly strong fit. This role is office based in North Dallas.Confidential conversations always respected.
