Structural Superintendent

Overview As Structural Superintendent, you will lead on-site structural construction for high-rise, mid-rise, and multi-family projects, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to design and codes. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage field operations, and drive schedule and budget objectives in collaboration with project leadership. You will shape on-site execution through strong leadership, problem-solving, and clear communication with owners, engineers, and inspectors. Compensation / BenefitsHealth, Dental, Vision CoverageCar allowance & gas card401k matchPTO ResponsibilitiesDirect on-site structural activities (concrete formwork, rebar, pours, post-tensioning, steel erection) and related tradesManage daily field workforce and subcontractors; assign tasks, monitor performance, ensure quality and safetyCoordinate with project management, engineers, GCs, and foremen to align with contract docs and inspection requirementsDevelop and maintain short-term and look-ahead schedules; mitigate scheduling impactsOversee materials delivery, storage, handling, and inventory for structural elementsConduct regular quality control inspections; document non-conformances and drive corrective actions with QA/QCEnsure safety compliance with policies and OSHA standards; lead toolbox talks and site safety meetingsFacilitate inspections by third-party inspectors and authorities; maintain inspection recordsMaintain accurate daily logs, manpower reports, RFIs, change orders, and as-built records; report progress to leadershipTroubleshoot on-site technical/logistical issues and make field decisions aligning with project goalsMentor field staff and foster teamwork, continuous improvement, and adherence to procedures Key requirements7+ years hands-on construction experience; 3–5+ years as Superintendent/Structural Superintendent on tall or multi-family projectsExperience with cast-in-place concrete, post-tensioned slabs, steel erection, and related formworkStrong understanding of structural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications; ability to read engineered detailsProven track record managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades to meet schedule and budgetKnowledge of building codes, permitting, and inspection processesOSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification (or equivalent)Proficiency with construction management/scheduling software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Primavera P6, MS Project) and MS OfficeExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with owners, engineers, inspectors, and field staffStrong problem-solving, attention to detail, and timely decision-making in fast-paced environmentsValid driver's license and ability to travel between project sitesleadershipcommunicationteamworkcast-in-place concretepost-tensioned slabsstructural steel erection
