This role serves as the lead authority for quality across the full project lifecycle, ensuring that all systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with contract requirements, design intent, and applicable codes and standards.The QA/QC Manager will be actively engaged in field execution, inspections, system validation, and commissioning support, working closely with engineering teams, construction crews, vendors, and commissioning agents. This role requires a hands-on approach to quality management, with direct involvement in inspections, testing, nonconformance resolution, and performance verification. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, along with a disciplined and detail-oriented approach to ensuring system reliability, efficiency, and readiness for final acceptance.This is a full time W2 position based on site in Sweetwater, Texas.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management and PlanningDevelop and implement the Project Quality Management Plan aligned with turnkey delivery requirementsEstablish inspection and test plans, quality procedures, and acceptance criteria across all project phasesEnsure alignment between design intent, performance specifications, and installed systemsDesign and Engineering QualityReview engineering documents including P and IDs, electrical diagrams, layouts, and control sequences for compliance and integrationVerify coordination across mechanical, electrical, civil, and controls disciplinesSupport design reviews to ensure constructability, reliability, and performance requirements are metProcurement and Vendor QualityReview and approve vendor submittals, shop drawings, and technical documentationCoordinate and witness factory acceptance testing for major equipment including chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and electrical systemsEnsure all equipment meets applicable industry standards and project specificationsConstruction and Field Quality OversightPerform and oversee inspections of mechanical, electrical, piping, and controls installationsVerify installation quality aligns with contract documents and manufacturer requirementsMaintain a strong field presence to validate workmanship and resolve quality issues in real timeCommissioning and Performance ValidationSupport and oversee site acceptance testing and commissioning activitiesVerify system performance against capacity, redundancy, and efficiency requirementsEnsure proper execution and documentation of functional and integrated system testingSupport troubleshooting and resolution of deficiencies during startupNon-Conformance and Corrective ActionsIdentify, document, and track nonconformance reportsCoordinate corrective actions with contractors and vendorsVerify closure of all quality issues prior to system acceptanceDocumentation and TurnoverMaintain complete quality records including inspections, testing, and certificationsEnsure delivery of as built drawings, O and M manuals, commissioning reports, and warrantiesSupport final acceptance and transition to operationsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline, or equivalent experienceMinimum 8 to 12 years of QA/QC experience supporting large scale mechanical or industrial infrastructure projectsExperience supporting design build or turnkey EPC projectsDemonstrated experience with central chiller plants, chilled water systems, or large HVAC infrastructure preferredStrong knowledge of mechanical systems including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, piping systems, and controlsWorking knowledge of applicable codes and standards including ASHRAE, AHRI, ASME, NEC, NFPA, and OSHAExperience supporting commissioning, system startup, and performance verificationStrong field presence with a hands-on approach to inspections and quality enforcementAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specificationsStrong documentation, reporting, and communication skillsDetail oriented with strong problem-solving capabilityPreferred QualificationsCertified Quality Engineer or similar certificationExperience with commissioning processes and performance-based acceptanceOSHA 30 Hour certificationExperience supporting data centers, utility plants, or large industrial infrastructure projectsEmployment EligibilityInvictus Strategy & Solutions is unable to provide sponsorship at this time.
